Today we welcome Bryan Kramer to our podcast and we’re admittedly superfans so we felt kind of shy and giddy and elated all at once. We had a fun and enlightening conversation about what it really means to be social online, why you need to bring the joy and plenty more to inspire you.

In This Episode We Talk About
- Why you need to keep the fun in social media
- How to be human and give people online the best of who you are
- What it means to have a “social body language”
- How to make the “unplanned planned unplanned” work in your business and more unique things you won’t hear anyone else say but Bryan!

This podcast episode suitcase is so full, I can’t close the latches! 😉
My two words for your interview with Bryan Kramer? “Invigorating” and “refreshing”. Of course, I felt nudged to add my [poetic] two cents worth:
“HUMAN 2 HUMAN 2 HUMAN”
(aka Bryan, Carol Lynn, and Ralph)
Just listen to the crowd online
To figure out what resonates
Then challenge the status quo
In the social marketing space
Funny will always beat boring
Feel free to laugh at yourself
Leave controversial subjects
At home on a safe little shelf
Part of having a social mindset
Means sharing in the moment
Expressing original thoughts
With fun as the key component
Always be mindful of boundaries
Be kind and filter what you say
When speaking from your heart
People respond in a positive way
Functional and meaningful marketing
Has the human touch at center stage
To be successful in social media
You have to know how to engage!
Humanly, that is. 🙂
Melanie
I don’t think I have seen (or ever will again) someone rhyme the word “resonates”. You really missed your calling on becoming a poet 🙂
I LOVE your concluding line! That is my favorite part. At some point I said to myself you know, you should really start collecting Melanie’s poems so one day you can turn them into a book! And then I thought it’s ok, they will all be in the comments. But given how prolific you are, I’m afraid I may have my work cut out for me, lol. I’d better start now!
PS: Love you lots. Thank you as always for brightening my day.
I thought about rhyming “procrastinate” with “resonate” — but it’s a word that would never befit you and Ralph or Web Search Social. And your comment, “I’d better start now!” has just proven my point and affirmed my reasoning. LOL!
Thanks for your gracious sentiments, Carol Lynn, and I’m happy you love the concluding line. 🙂
A book of poems. Now there’s a fun idea!
You know we could always have Téa’s son Leyton do illustrations for us 🙂
Yes. Yes, yes, yes! Leyton would be the PERFECT candidate for illustrations. I’m all for keepin’ it in the family. 🙂
Wow, thank you so much for the poem @melanie_kissell:disqus, that is the first poem I’ve ever received in the form of a response or otherwise. Made my day…. and you have a gift!
Melanie is the poet bomb 🙂 I have never known anyone to throw down rhymes the way she does.
