Butter & Beast Presents…

Today’s short form podcast is a story that I wrote for Butter & Beast, a storytelling project hosted by my friend Téa Silvestre of The Story Bistro.

It’s 12 days of stories from entrepreneurs that tie a business tale into a recipe – perfect for sharing and eating during the holidays!

If you’d like to read the article or get my Arroz con Pollo recipe, visit ButterAndBeast.com. While you’re there, subscribe so you’ll be notified when the next story and recipe is published!

I'm a business owner, content creator, podcaster and marketer. In 1999 I founded Rahvalor Interactive, a web and creative services production studio, with my husband and business partner Ralph. In 2011 we created Web.Search.Social, a consulting and marketing service line for small businesses. We also cohost the Web.Search.Social Podcast where we challenge the status quo of marketing and the Carbon Based Business Units podcast where we talk about the human side of being an entrepreneur. On any given day I wear the hat of project manager, consultant, social media manager and content marketer. My true passion is writing and in my spare time I'm busy planning my early retirement to Barcelona as a famous and wealthy novelist.

  • No question about it, you and Ralph have the constitution of a horse! Along with unsurpassed inner strength, faith, and oodles of confidence. Oh, and maybe an ounce or two of stubbornness. 😉

Your #ButterandBeast story should be taken to heart by every solopreneur and small business owner on the planet. It’s inevitable hard times will hit and “getting a job” isn’t always the solution. Thank you for sharing your beautifully inspiring story of reinvention!

    • Well, Melanie, I think we all face our challenges, don’t we? And then we test the strength of our convictions!
